Pfizer's Viagra has received its approval in Europe. The European Commission has approved this oral prescription to treat erectile dysfunction. Viagra was permitted in 15 member states which was based on a single European license. The approval of Viagra took place through a centralized procedure. An inability to maintain a proper erection which is required for satisfactory sexual activity is defined as erectile dysfunction.
