“Viagra May Make Men More Loving and Lusty”, Claims Scientists The much-admired anti-impotence drugs can make men more affectionate partners, a new research advocates. Along with enhancement of sexual performance, Viagra enhances the level of a "cuddle chemical" in the brain that is known to amplify a man's love for his sexual partner. The scientists have noticed that the little blue pill encourages fabrication of the love hormone oxytocin, which is believed to have a crucial role in the promotion of romantic feelings and bonding between couples. Oxytocin is discharged while orgasm and also plays an imperative role in child birth, breastfeeding and social interaction. The study was implemented by scientists from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the US. “The study hoisted the odds that erectile dysfunction medicines might be utilized for other purposes apart from just erectile dysfunction." said Study leader Professor Meyer Jackson. Viagra eliminates impotence by jamming phosphodiesterase type 5, a chemical that impedes the blood flow. Scientists have now revealed that this chemical is also accountable for the discharge of “love hormones' in the brain. This simply implies that Viagra efficiently arouses the brain to fabricate an increased amount of this love chemical. However, Professor Jackson further clarifies that Viagra cannot impel a man to love a woman he has no warm feelings for. Some affection should be present in advance to start with. "ED drugs do not encourage erections unexpectedly, they can only augment the response to sexual stimulation," he added. "The same thing is applicable in case of oxytocin. Viagra will not incite the liberation of oxytocin, but will only boost up the amount of oxytocin released.” To be published in the Journal of Psychology, the study was conducted on rats. During the research, the levels of oxytocin in rats were measured after they were given Viagra in order to reach a final conclusion.
